While working on a graduate degree in Music, Bruce Mayfield
took a job at a small printing company little knowing it would
become the launching pad for his career in the graphic arts.
There he gained hands on experience running presses and learning
finishing processes such as foil stamping and embossing. Later,
while managing a midsize print shop in San Francisco, Bruce's
unflappable style and attention to detail kept a diverse staff
focused and even the most difficult projects on schedule.
He also began introducing an emphasis on "Green"
production whenever possible. Because of his drive to reduce
environmental damage without sacrificing quality Bruce developed
an extensive knowledge of paper and paper manufacturing. His
work with clients like the Marine Mammal Center and Earth
Justice Legal Defense Fund has given him a reputation as an
authority in producing quality printing on recycled papers.
Bruce became a principal at Sungold Litho in January of 2000
and his expertise in graphics applications, hardware and networking
keeps our workflows efficient.
